So I was bored and decided to make a minifig tile out of clay, I worked from memory and didn't let the clay harden enough first but here's the result.

I plan to make some improvements on the design and make more in the future, at least until my pottery wheel (http://www.bigceramicstore.com/Supplies/wheels/PotteryWheelStandard.htm#ShimpoRKWhisper) arrives next week.  I'll post any other clay related things I make here later on.

Edit:

here it is completely dry, I was able to clean it up a little bit but I just need to do better from the start next time.

Edit 2:

and another failure :( I was watching a movie and forgot I had let my slabs out to dry a little, now I'll have to start over on my companion cube.  It's too dry to properly attach the parts now.  Maybe I'll wet it and stick it in a bag overnight and hope for the best.

Got my wheel today :D Here are the first few pots I made, the first one didn't make it past the splash pan :P

going to make this one into a coffee mug

Been keeping busy, takes a lot of practice to make anything worth keeping.

It looks nice, though the arms are not symmetrical.

Yeah I know, just messing around mostly.

Pretty neat, also, nice Bloko brick you got there :D

l like it its better then what i make :cookieMonster:

I made a weird trippy Thor's hammer box out of clay, even had a hatch with a mouth inside.

Clay can be pretty cool.

I c ur brik thar

And I want one. :o

I need some clay now.

I camped somewhere once a few years ago and the spot was right beside a river. For some reason that river had clay deposits all over the place in it, me and some good colleagues would make cheap potery out of the stuff and sun bake it. It was terribly fragile when finished though.

I would imagine so, luckily I have a kiln to fire my pottery in :D

I'm totally getting some clay now.

Also, good job, I like the brick better though :D

Nice work Jake, you should make your companion cube out of clay if ya can.
