To convert an mp3 to a .ogg file to be playable through blockland. You need either one of the sets of instructions below.

If you want to use WavePad software read this section:

Should look like this:

  • Open WavePad and drag your song into it

  • Copy the part you want by selecting it and pressing Ctrl+C or pressing copy at the top of the page.

  • I RECOMMEND USING FADE OUT, MAKES IT SOUND MUCH NICER
  • Next you need to click; File
  • Drag your mouse to Save File As

  • Rename the file to whatever you want.

  • For file type, click the drop down box, and select Ogg Vorbis (.ogg)

  • As your final step, drag and drop the .ogg to your blockland add-ons folder.

And voila, you're done :]

If you're using Audacity follow these directions:

  • Drag your .mp3 into the gray box

  • Copy the part you want by selecting it and pressing Ctrl+C or the copy button.
  • Than paste it to your new Box

  • USE FADE OUT, SOUNDS BETTER!
  • Click File
  • Export as .ogg vorbis

  • Name it, and save it to where you want.

  • Drag the song to your Blockland add-ons directory.

Problem; Wavepad isn't free.
Just get Audacity.
ALSO; This is just a copy of Masta's.

Wavepad has a free trail that I linked you to which doesn't expire.

And, no, this is not a copy of Masta Green Day's, if this was, than nobody could understand it. I had difficulties reading his at all. I made mine because it's easier to read, more organized, and has pictures for those who are literally, technologically handicapped.

I do this all the time. I'm a musician. And, I get questions asked all the time how to convert file formats. So, weather of not that was a smartass remark, you're welcome.

No offense to you, but, it was just awful. :D

WinFF works well too.

Audacity didn't work for me for some reason.

I'll look into WinFF and make a tutorial for it. Brb guys.

Edit. Says Winff is a video converter?

I highly recommend you change the thread title and add in (WavePad), e.g. How to convert MP3's to .ogg to play in Blockland (WavePad)

Cheers.

It does both.

There's not much of a tutorial needed anyway, it's just
1. Add files
2. Pick output
3. Click Convert.

DiabeticRage[/I], there's just one problem.

You have to make the music files mono before putting them in Blockland, otherwise when you play the stereo .ogg it'll make all mono .ogg's really quiet.

Love your paint skillz. :)
