Any kind of currency...video game "gold"...real money, anything...I just can't seem to save up...got any tips?

I used to be a habitual impulse spender. On average, males are prone to be so more than females, so it's been a rough time for me. I suffered from a lot of Buyer's remorse. What I do now to help me with that is the first thing I do in a store is grab what I want, then browse the store for half an hour. Usually by that time, my need to want has gone and if I still want it after that point, I'll get it. Most times, I won't and it'll go back on the shelves.

Another deal I have done is to put a spending limit on my debit card. It forces me to think of what I spend before I do and it has helped me greatly in sorting out what I need from what I want.

It helps to not want anything.
