    Announcements

    1) This project has been revived.  Seeing how VCE v5 doesn't have an event to save, I'll be
        using old variables (v4).  It's more work, but hey, you can save your progress.  Also, I plan
        to get this finished before summer closes to a sad end, so it's time to work our asses off,
        team!  The server will be up as much as it can be, and I'll open a few building positions.

    2) Here's what a few of you want: Beta Testers will be needed in the future.  I won't need you
        right away, but it's best to get on my list now and reserve yourself a spot.  If you want to
        be a tester, post a decent paragraph (4 - 6 literate sentences) on why you think you should
        be one.

    3) We need Builders!  Apply by posting your best future build and I'll see if I can pencil you in.

    4) Once VCE v5 has saving, I'll need eventers who can read and event variables extremely
        well.  I have a very organized and specific way of eventing, and therefore I am hesitant to
        accept eventers, so very few slots will be open.  Three at the most.

    About
    So I started this a little bit ago, and so far it's been coming along pretty well.  If you look in the server banner at the top, you'll see the percentage complete, as well as how many bricks there are at this point.  Currently, there isn't much of a storyline or anything, but it's more or less a simulation.  However, as I get more of the building done and the basic parts of it, I'll start to whip something up as a story for it.
    For now, I'll post some pictures, some plans, and some insight on what the RPG is at this point.

    The To-Do List
    • Spawn Town - completed
    • Space Port - About 98% (We still have to buff out some rough edges)
    • Mining Town (Where you get a resource used to upgrade weapons) - 4%

    • Camera's Industrial Town Thingy* - 0%
    *This does not count towards the overall progress, but it will be released during a live update after the first public hosting of the RPG.

    Features What you can do
    • Upgradeable weapons using Ladios' laser weapon pack, and a few other futuristic weapons, as well as armor using Pandan's armor set if I can figure out how to change something in them.
    • Mine-able resources (Energy Crystals, what you use to upgrade weapons)
    • Several side-quests
    • Alien blasting action! (On Mars, and don't bitch about how sci-fi this is, I really don't care)
    • You can earn money from blasting those aliens, too! Several side-quests will ask you to kill a certain number of aliens, or to scout out their base.
    • You start with no jets, and then can buy a jump jet and a limited fuel jet, or even a normal fuel jet. This fuel jet was edited by me to be slower, though, so it counters the advantage of regen fuel a bit.
    • Large areas to explore, with hidden secrets and NPCs that talk to you when you click them.
    • Live updates that will take place throughout the RPG.  You never know what's coming next!
    • Tips to reduce lag, as well as brick efficiency and spaced-out areas to help cut down on lag (All you'll have to do is ghost the bricks when you go to a new area).
    • You can walk around on the space ship that takes you from Earth to Mars or the Moon, and you choose when to get off and go to your destination.
    • Preventative actions against users killing other users.  The guns are for aliens only.

    • I would appreciate some feedback on the RPG so far, and I would also like some help pinpointing a time period that it would take place in.
    • If you don't find this to be very futuristic, this is my own vision of the future, and you can go suck one. (Not the far future, but not the near future, somewhere in between)

    +Fuel jet playertype that doesn't recharge. It also has some tweaked speed and health for the RPG. No, it will not be released, nor will the Slow Fuel Jet Playertype be.

    I like it. The build is good, and I also like the Idea.
    It seems that all you find these days of Blockland
    are CityRP's, Medieval RP's( most of which can't spell Medieval ), and
    maybe FamilyRP's. This is different. When the server is up and public, I
    will try to be there.
    I like how you used Lazers for sign bottoms too xD.

    It'll take a while to finish, but I look forward to when I can open it.

    I highly agree with you. Makes me wanna start a new rpg =/ Great build though looks fun to play in :D

    Update:
    I won't be working on this for a few days.
    It's all I've been doing on Bl and I want a break from it D:

    Larger buildings: Seem a little "crowded", not enough variety in the architecture

    Everything else: Pretty damn cool stuff, very imaginative, love the highway and space port, Inn too actually, and the diner as well. All those are awesome.

    The large buildings bring the quality down a bit and there are a few details that pick at me, but overall this is an excellent build, good job!

    It looks pretty cool 9/10,but the wall barriers limit the players "seeing",
    when i saw the grey walls near the highway to the other town I
    was a little bummed out because it didn't seem like you were heading to
    a town, but more of a Quarintined zone.Anyways,its good and
    you should keep it up

    Maybe I'll push the walls out a little further and add a bit of terrain when I get the time.

    And @ Muffin:
    It looks even worse without those buildings there.
    The point of so many buildings and the large ones restricting sight of what's behind them is to create the illusion that the city is larger, and you're only on two of the numerous streets.
    But I'll see what I can do, right now I need a break, though.

    'Nother Update:
    Back to work on this, I also intend to allow players to buy new colors for their jets.
    I'm not really in a building mood right now, so I'm going to re-vamp some of the features.  Now I just have to see if the jet colors apply to jump jets and such.

    Yet Another Update:
    I just finished making a Slow Fuel Jet Playertype, which you can also buy in addition to the limited fuel and jump jets. These playertypes load when you spawn, too, so no hassle re-getting them after you die.
    Prices are:
    Jump Jet: 200
    Limited Fuel Jet: 600
    Slow Fuel Jet: 1200
    Feedback on those prices is appreciated, as well.

    Also, I updated the features list to show a little more detail.
    The Space Port City has a bit more to it, now, so I'll add some new pics when I get to it.
