Simply become more understanding, and think twice or more before submitting a post.

i have been called an idiot and an assortment of different names

Probably because you are one.

Gareth (me) wants to change

More than just Gareth.

how should i so i can maybe one day become an appreciated member?

It's not possible with your brain size and age.

(and please constructive criticism only no "get out's")

Get out.

Another step is ignoring posts such as that. They're there only to make you upset.

Correct.

EDIT:  No, I'm not some insensitive noob chewer, I just know that some people to be shocked and upset to realize the truth.  You aren't going to help anyone by pitying them.

Dont call people dumbforgets, and then wonder why no one like you. U called me a dumbforget

Willlhidho or whatever, thats cause well i posted before this topic, as i saw what i did whas funny to me, it was mean to you, sorry for whatever pain and/or agony i may have caused you.

chrono thanks for the REAL advice.

Well one trick, think before you post. "Is what I am about to post a positive contribution to the thread in any way? Is this going to piss allot of people off for obvious reasons?"

Next, if you're going to be factual, make sure those "facts" aren't pulled out of your ass. If you are uncertain, make it clear.

Also don't make a huge fuss over the stuff that happens here, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Don't let the trolling get to you either.

Finally, never under any circumstances call people names. It makes you look bad no matter who you are. The close relative to this rule is the one that says you should be nice to people unless they're digging into everyone's skulls. By that I mean people who are actively trolling and looking to piss everyone off on purpose to elevate themselves, I'm not talking about newbies or the kiddies that make all those stuffty posts that grind peoples' gears for god knows what reasons.

And yes all these supplemental rules of behavior tie into the first rule about thinking.

Oh yes, and grammatically correct posts go a long way to making you seem more intelligible. This is unconditional.

To Hiiro:

The above is a perfect example of a post that has no grammar, making the quality of it's meaning irrelevant.  Most people can't look past misspelled words and poor writing, so please hiiro, type with proper sentences and capitalization.
