All this has nothing to do with being a mod though, which brings me to believe you'd make a terrible mod.

Look, it's quite simple, if you want to be a good mod you don't forget with the system. The minute you start doing anything with your powers other then enforcing the rules set in place by the Administrators is the minute you start making a bigger mess. To add a little bit more constraint on things, you might also keep in mind that you should not enforce the rules unless necessary, hence no skewed re-interpretation of what the rules mean is allowed.

A good mod isn't in it to become a forum superstar or all that other irrelevant bullstuff either. It's basically a job, which you have to take seriously, with critical thinking involved. I don't think you'd quite cut it for the job, sad to say.

There is also no rule that says Don't be a douchebag to one another.

The closest thing is probably the "Don't post if the entire reason for posting is saying the other guy's an idiot" rule, but that doesn't quite cover all the stuff you're talking about, basically just posts with the intent purpose of insulting someone without any sort of constructive criticism or reason. Up the board, you do that and it's usually a ban.

Down in Drama and around Off Topic it's kind of a given that no one really cares, although it's true that up the board it happens quite a bit and sometimes, albeit rarely, goes unpunished. I don't think the problem is severe enough to call for another mod though, just be vigilant and report that stuff when it's blatantly and obviously a flame attempt. You can also deter the assailant by pretty much telling him that was uncalled for and he is uncool for doing it.
