Author Topic: Obama YEAR ROUND SCHOOL YEAR DX  (Read 13883 times)

Ok, I think it's my turn to have a bit of a rant.

Personally I would rather have a year-round education.  That way I would have something to do during the three month period we call "summer break".  And even now, I'm furthering my education, studying to take the CCNA exam so I have a head start on my career.

Why is it that no body here wants to get an education?  Sure the teachers are boring as forget and I hate them just as much as you do, but without them we wouldn't be able to read and write, perform basic addition and subtraction, or know anything about our history.

I value my education, especially when I'm presented with a challenge, though I may not show it.  I love learning.  I love being challenged.  I hate it when nobody appreciates their education at all, showing little respect for the teachers who have to put up with their bullstuff.

Lord I can't write for stuff.

tl;dr
forget you; read it

Being Canadian is great.

However, I believe year-round school is better for our future, but Summer is a precious pastime that should be protected.

I think that the messy school system is the thing needed to cleaned. I don't know about you but I have photographic memory. I need something written down to know it. I can't sit and memorize history just listening. So I can't learn well in 'normal' public school. But I have my own system that helps.

Thats just one obstacle they can change by a little work.

I would explode.

Literally, all neutrons will lose their attraction to the protons in my body and knock out the electrons in all atoms in my body and I would explode.

And that, my friends, is how adults are born.

EDIT (serious):
Honestly, I think that a year round school year is not needed, as most of the people that will succeed in life just pay attention in the 180 days of school there is to offer every year, and those who do not listen will fail at school and life as a whole. I think summer is a great way to 'reboot' ourselves for the next year of school to come, because without that break, I think kids will just hate school more than they already do.

I don't hate school, but if this happens, I'm going to be loving pissed. Summer is the only time I can worry about nothing and just laze around for a while. It gives me time to, as schools are pushing this, BE loving ACTIVE. That's what they want you to do, and without summer, there really is only somewhat of a short crunch time that you can be physically active.

Also, I don't like weekends because you know on Sunday you have to go back to school.

Scratch all this. Obama is stuff. Enough said.

I will not respond to any political flaming.

EDIT (3):

The school I attend is suffering from major budget cuts, getting rid of some teachers, eliminating homeroom and most of our select classes, including FRENCH CLASS (I honestly RAGE whenever I think of this because the best teacher I've ever had in my entire 7 years of school has gotten fired and now both french classes are being pt together and being taught one hour by some stuffty generic teacher which I hate. I could go on for hours about this.) And they're making some of our regular classes longer to fill in the voids that are left from removing some of the select classes. It alternates everyday so it's just more stuff we need to memorize on a daily basis.

Also, CREW. No, just no. They ruined Phy Ed. HOW THE forget CAN YOU MESS UP PHY ED CLASS?

So, ultimately, it's a lose-lose scenario.

EDIT (CONCLUSION):

Doing this will just result in more problems from budget because schools now have to pay teachers all year around, as well as fund for classes all year round. Also, the more we're in school, the more eligible kids are to break the technology. So there's more money coming out there. So, some schools will close down due to horrible budgets. I honestly fret what will happen to our school if this is passed.

All in all, our school is forgeted. Damned arrowhead high school, using up all our budget for stuff like sports.

I'm sorry for the over excessive use of swearing in this post, but I'm raged.

It's not that bad, I mean, it's boring staying at home because the Media sucks and you do the same thing over and over again.

By the time I go back to school, I start badly.

Good I live in Canada.

♪O-Canada, our home and native land...♪

Gah even more stress.

good thing i live in canada :D

Neutrons are not attracted to anything, they are neutral.

No.
Id get home schooled if he did that.

Well technically there are the nuclear forces, I'm not really an expert on the stuff but it's caused by a very powerful nuclear bonding mechanism that occurs between baryons (like protons and neutrons). It's due to the residual forces that expand out from the quark interactions in each baryons, or something like that.

Dammit, I was hoping no one would mention nuclear forces. ;-p
I don't know anything about it, so I'll bow now.
