Hey guys, can somebody give me mroe of an explanation as to what compressing your disk drive is? like will it disable my files until decompressed or something?

I always viewed it as a means to extend storage space on the hard drive or to increase the relay response for information retrieval. I could be wrong on both counts, but oh well. lol I'm no PC guru.

Who could possibly need a TB?

That's not even a lot anymore. just a good amount. New prebuilt stuff computers come with 300-400gigs That much is good enough for me to install all my games and apps on, and have plenty of C: space left over for necessary temp and cache.

if i want to download music, games, apps, movies, research.
you know... use my computer as an entertainment machine and not just for that school and work stuff.
1T is good enough

I have 1.35 TB left.
And I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Build 7100. :D
