Yay I found the song!

The only lyrics I remember are "under the california sun". Its probably considered alternative or pop and its done in an almost reggaeish style but with a white guy singing the first part then later on some dude starts rapping stuff.  I want this sun but if google "under the california sun lyrics" you get about 50,00 different possible answers and I cant even find it in them. Anyone know any way to help?

No, thats not it. It has a guy singing it, and its not even close to that style.

The only song that goes around my mind is 'Hotel California' but there isn't anything about "under the california sun".

Nah. Its mostly alternative sounding but with one guy rapping in part of the song.
