Author Topic: Myst Island Map.  (Read 3600 times)

O.K. I'll try my best to make it.

Maybe I can help you by describing the buildings in great detail... So, here we go:

The library (Square building at base of mountain):

On the inside, it is an octagonal room. If you stand in the center of the room and face away from the door, turning counterclockwise, this is what you'll see.

-On the first wall there is a bookshelf with three shelves. All but four of the books on the shelves are
  burned to ashes.
-On the second wall, there is a picture of a hallway, which appears to be in the place where the bookshelf is.
(When clicked, this would cause the bookshelf to lower into the ground, revealing the hallway depicted in the
  image)
-On the third wall, there is a podium with a red book on it.
-On the fourth wall, there is a map of the island. (in the original game, it displayed the locations of all the buildings
on the island. When the location of the tower is clicked, it shows a red line, indicating the direction of the tower
which rotated when you held down the mouse button.)
- On the next wall is the door.
-On the sixth wall, there is a fireplace. Inside, there is a red button, that causes the grate to lower over the
opening. (In the original, copying the correct pattern onto the grate caused the fireplace to rotate, revealing a
podium holding a green book. This should be changed [If possible] so that if you press the button, the fireplace
rotates without you having to enter a pattern.)
- On the seventh wall, there is a podium holding a blue book.
- On the eighth and final wall, there is a picture of the open door. (This caused the bookshelf to rise to it's normal,
  closing the secret passageway.)

Secret Passageway (to Tower):

When the bookshelf lowers into the ground, it reveals a hallway. This hallway turns three times before it reaches the tower.

-The first turn (which begins at the bookshelf) is a diagonal right.
-The second turn is a diagonal left.
- The third turn is another diagonal right, leading to the base of the tower.

Tower:
The tower is a round structure. Around the walls, there are lights pointed at the elevator.

Floor 1:
On the first floor, there is an elevator. This leads to floor 2.

Floor 2:

On the second floor, there are two ladders, leading up to two ledges on either side of the room. Behind each ladder is a symbol on a plaque. Behind the one  in front of the elevator, there is a book, and on the one behind, there is a key. On the one with the book, there is a window, showing you whatever the tower is pointed at (depending on the angle it's pointing.) On the one with the key, there is a plaque with a message on it that allows you to open a secret area (i.e. "2:40, 221" [if tower window is directed at giant gears],  " Oct 11 1984 10:04 AM, Jan 17 1207 5:46 AM, Nov 23 9791 6:57 PM" [if window is directed at sunken ship], "7, 2, 4" [if window is directed at giant pine tree], and "59 Volts" [if window is directed at rocket ship])

Rocket Ship:

On the inside, it is relatively bare. the only points of interest are a pipe organ, and a control box.
This, however, will be useless in blockland, so I shall move on.

Log cabin:

Inside, there are four things. A large boiler directly across from the door, a valve, a picture of a tree, and a safe directly across from the picture of the tree. The safe contains a box of matches.

Power Plant:

Inside is a winding staircase. at the bottom is a door. Inside the door, there is a control panel. On the panel, there are two gauges and two rows of six buttons. Behind the panel, there is a wall of glass, behind which are twelve generators. on the wall behind you (if you are facing the control panel) there is a diagram of the control panel.

Rotunda:

Inside the rotunda, there is a chair in the middle of the room. The chair is red leather, and has a face plate over the headrest. a light switch beside the door reveals that the ceiling is painted so that, when the lights turn off, there are stars o the ceiling.

Sunken ship:

On back of the ship, there is a door. Through this door, there is a small room, containing  lone chair, with a book upon it.

Clock tower:

Inside is a strange device. A vertical axle with three gears upon stands in the middle of the room. In front of it, there is a box with a lone gear half embedded in it. On either side of the device is a handle. On one side of the device, there is another handle, and on the other, there is a counterweight.

I hope that helps.

Thanks Pilatus.... That was an epic failure on my part...
