Well now I kind of probably would, hehe.

Uh.. My best info on this is that, only in games, for me, when I hold shift, sometimes three keys don't work:
M, R, and B.
Yeah, it sucks because I have to backspace most of the time when I type "RTB"

Not being able to use apostrophes and quotes is starting to get to me.

My parents might buy a Studio 15. If they do then I could possibly see if anything provokes that.

Check your drivers thing.
I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in Control Panel. Just update every one you can find ;o

Anyone have more specific instructions?

I HAD the same problem, but I fixed it like so:

Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices -> Microsoft eHome Infared Transciever
^ uninstall that

Note: It reinstalls everytime you reboot the computer, so it can get troublesome...
I am 100% sure without a doubt this is how you fix it.
You're just doing it wrong.
