Author Topic: Hat's off, I salute to the people of iran.  (Read 5823 times)

being muslim is a religion, arab is a nationality, get it right please. Iranians speak Farsi, Arabs speak Arabian. iranians are their own. anyone can convert to being a muslim - so you're saying pos white trash guy/girl converting to islam is arab -.-?

and we dont really know if its a revolution yet, the revolution happened in Iran last time cause everyone had the same opinion.. theres still two parties here that are opposing each other.
Nevertheless.. i hope they do destroy that ass hole Ahmaninejad, they gotta continue strong and not let those lives lost go to waste. \o/
Since when has a revolution ever been solely one sided?

Ex: American Revolution 1/3 supported the Continental Congress, 1/3 supported England and English rule, and 1/3 had no real alignment on a cause

That's 2/3 of 13 colonies and various territories that weren't part of the movement against English rule.

i was being specific. Thats what happened in iran in 1979, i dont know about other revolutions.

Iran is full of a young generation, the generation before them were pretty much wiped out in the Iran-Iraq War. Meaning they have the medium to construct something volatile like a movement against their government. I doubt their military will sit back and let it happen.

yep young generation - 80% of iranians are under 30. but yeah the last generation either died in that war or fled to another country during the revolution. Least they're all young enough and have the drive and energy to rally... their passion might actually get them somewhere. This outburst of protesting was bound to happen sooner or later, i just hope they succeed!

I read it as:
قادسيّة صدّام --- ???
جنگ تحمیلی --- a forceful war
دفاع مقدس --- a precious defense

i think its that, maybe. but you can never translate properly.. there are some words that we just dont have in our vocab that they do.

The Iranians come from Persian decent!? You're really blowing my mind man.

Or not.

You know, what probably really happened is that a military general told Ahmadinejad three hours before the election, "I bet you can't rig the election!" Ahmadinejad took him up on the bet. I don't see any other way this thing could have been rigged so poorly.

Yeah otis, The previous name of iran was persia.
