Go talk to Nix, he knows how to make Skype scripts and can work with IRC. My idea is that you guys work together and make an app that sends messages to the Skype Chat from an IRC and where Skype sends messages to the IRC.

That would be hard to work on together. Besides I would probably just hold Nix back :p
My script works, all it does is basically adds a very simplified buddy list to IRC that let's you know when people on your list join/quit your irc channel and you may go straight to messaging them from the GUI by double clicking their name.
