Author Topic: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Spoilers may ensue)  (Read 1588 times)

Well, I have just returned from the midnight showing of the new Transformers movie.

Best movie I've ever seen in my opinion, and I've seen a lot of movies.

You may have a different opinion, but that's mine. Best. Movie. Ever. Yeah, the camera was a little shaky at times. Yeah, there was often so much going on it makes your head spin. Yeah, the story may have been corny at times. But that's alright. It was still amazing. If you haven't seen it, you should. If you haven't seen the first one, watch that first.

This is where the spoiler part starts.

Anyone else think parts of the story line were a little cheesy? I mean, the part where the Primes talk to Sam when he's "dead", that was a little far-fetched...I mean, yes it's a movie about transforming super-beings that have lived amongst us as vehicles since the dawn of time, but I think it could have gone differently. It was cool how they did it, but it was still pretty corny. That's all I have to contribute to the discussion at this point, so...

Discuss. We'll add on from there. Be aware that that any spoilers after my post may or may not be concealed. If you don't want to spoil anything, don't read this topic.

Best movie ever?

Have you seen The Man from Earth or V for Vendetta?

I just got back from it too :D I thought it was great. It was pretty cheesy though :\

Just got back from it about an hour ago. It was pretty loving amazing.

Have you seen The Man from Earth or V for Vendetta?

First one, never heard of it, and second one no, don't want to see it.

I like sci-fi.

Just came out in America, right?

v for vendetta was based on a comic of the same name, the creator of the comic also made watchmen, hes from northamptonshire which is where im from :D

It was an awesome movie! The 12:00 showing was sold out, so I saw the 12:20 showing in a different theater. I think the plot was more about tribute to the old series then anything. Spoilers! Don't read if you haven't seen!
The part with the octopi on Megatron was a tribute to him in the Beast Wars series (He was an octopus). Jetstream (or whatever the old guy was) used to fuse to Optimus to help him defeat Megatron in one of the series. And it was awesome that in this movie, he was more of a tank like in previous series.

and second one no, don't want to see it.

haha failed spoilings

haha failed spoilings

I know, just makes it harder to read.

I didn't see Megatron transform at all in this one.

The giant thing that ate everything was bad-ass.

I think Ebert liked it.

He's old, he doesn't understand. There was a lot of "teen humor".

Those Decepticons are crafty motherforgeters.

That part when the dog...thing poured those little metal balls into that vent, then they all turned into that paper-thin thing, I was like what. the. forget.

And then it loving jumps through a person.

First one, never heard of it, and second one no, don't want to see it.

The Man from Earth scored an 8.1 (anything over 7 is good to watch, anything over 8 you need to see) on imdb.
The Man from Earth is science fiction.
I've showed it to my whole family and everyone loved it. My brother showed it to a couple of his friends and they loved it. One of those friends showed it to his family and they all loved it too.

V for Vendetta scored 8.2 and is rank 175 out of over 57 million movies.
Why don't you want to see it?
