I was just at the store, damn, that's some kickass deals there. I just entrepreneur ed out a computer starting at $300, ended up at $1,800, and that's even better than my computer right now which is top-of-the-line :o

I doubt your computer is top of the line if a 1800 dollar computer is better than yours

my "top of the line" (2/14/09) was built from newegg parts. i spent almost 5k on it lol

but i never would assume dell could have decent comps, they dont even have the retailer rights to buy parts from several good hardware companies, that's the whole reason dell created that alienware garbage.

It won't let me customize with a NVidia graphics card :(

I think Alienware puts out some decent laptops.

It's old. It was top of the line.
Edit: Yeah, I agree with you on that, Alienware does have some pretty sick laptops.

i find it hard to believe a laptop could be good for gaming.
my video cards are 4 inches thick and 11 inches long each,
the kind of power in parts like this cannot be squeezed into a laptop.

how much space is needed for the processors fan and heat sinks alone?
even a "good" comp instead of a "great" one needs good air movement inside.

I agree, maybe you could start a new topic.
Gotta lock this seeing as it's over.
