Author Topic: Call of Duty 4 or 5?  (Read 2941 times)

Call of Duty: World at War is not actually loving awful, it's just hilariously average and a play it safe sequel. There is nothing new in it that Call of Duty 4 didn't do better a year before it. Treyarch just can't do originality. Hell even the Quantum of Solace game was a mashup of mechanics from other games that have done it better.

Get Call of Duty 4. It's a much higher quality game than Call of Duty WaW, and the fact that it's not set in WWII is reason enough to prefer it over WaW.

5, for a reason you cant compare the modern things to the historical, sad, and heroic things...

An immersive campaign with excellent writing, directing, and voice acting that blew me the forget away, along with introducing new technologies and effective gameplay mechanics that probably set the course for future titles, and set a new bar in quality control. WaW didn't achieve this, simply because it's literally CoD4 with WW2 superimposed. I haven't even completed WaW because the campaign is so mediocre it makes me cringe.

Is the Cod4 campaign really that good?
Because really, I'm with you on not completing it.

If you haven't beat CoD4, do so. It's so amazing, cinema-grade quality and excellence.

I haven't played 4.

Difficulty never prevents me from finishing a game.

That makes no sense.  If a game is too difficult, you can't finish it.

Yes you can. I actually love difficult games. Too bad they don't make anymore.

It makes perfect sense. If a game is too difficult, you have a harder time finishing it, but it doesn't label it as impossible.

You could finish it, take MGS for example, the last boss was hard as hell yet it's possible to kill him.
