I think it's a misinterpretation to consider Neko as Furryism, essentially both are about animal anthropomorphs but you rarely see a flamewar start up after someone bashes some anime catgirl posts.

My focus is on the drama the special interestists entail, and as far as drama goes neko stuff might as well be considered an anime thing completely.
