Author Topic: Flatshading Broken  (Read 1079 times)

I've tried Trader and MLD's tutorials but the model comes out smoothshaded every time.  Could someone give me a tutorial that WORKS? I'm using Milkshape 1.8.4.

Well, let us first get this out of the way, is it pirated? illegal in anyway?

Nope

It'd help to tell us EXACTLY what you're doing to try and flat shade. All I ever did on milkshape is select all the faces and unweld - Worked every time.

Nope, it only flatshaded some things, and left out others.

Alright, tell us exactly what you're doing and we'll try and help you from there.

I go through both tutorials, and it looks flatshaded in the smoothshaded view, I export it to the game, then it's all flatshaded.

I keep trying but the other parts just don't get flatshaded.

Do you have many smoothing groups?

Nope, I tried clearing them, then doing it again, then just some aren't.

Here's a pic of what's happening:

Pandan helped me out with it, so I fixed the problem.

For the future reference of you, and others; It would be nice if you posted what he/you did to fix it.
