Thinking about teaching an online BL scripting class, reactions?

So many of you probably know me as a scripter of various fun little things that I never release, most famously the "economic sim" Rise of Blockland.

I was thinking about doing some kind of online class that people could just show up to and enjoy. My tentative idea is that it would be an hour every weekday starting at 8PM pacific with a flexible-but-generally-forward-moving curriculum from super-basic to wtf-complex, followed by an indeterminate Q&A for all problems of any level that lasts as long as people want me and as long as I feel like staying.

The format would be that I would host a server on BL, broadcast from blogTV.com, and host Gobby.

I figure the more people we have that know their stuff, the more cool add-ons we might see. Anyway I was wondering if this would be a popular idea or what you guys think of it. Feedback plz.

I think it's a great idea, at least one to try a few times.

Yeah, you should definetly go through with this. A good number of the add-on makers don't really know what scripting is: They're either copy+pasting and changing values, or they are just putting things together until they get it to work (but not learning from it). Most add-on makers also need to get a better concept of how object-oriented scripting works.

E.g. findClientByName(%client.name)...

You should also write tutorials as you go in case someone misses a lesson.

I'd definitely attend if you did that too, because most times I can't get on or I'm busy with someone/something.
