basically it switches what it does based on variable rather than alot of ifs, and case number: is what the number is, and then whatever else you want to do is after.  Also, use case default: if none of the conditions are met for the cases

switch$(%var) is the same except that it switches based on strings.

Actually, I decided to drop out of the class, I don't feel like like staying up late for it it's at 11:00pm where I live and I'm used to going to sleep at ~8:00pm and waking up at ~4:00am and this class was loving that up.

In order to read example code, as well as show me your code so I can fix it, you'll need to give me your e-mail address so I can invite you to share some Google Docs. If you really want to start checking the reference materials immediately, you can try PMing me here on the forums in case I check them (no promises), but otherwise just show up early to class and PM it to me in the ustream chat.

So now you actually need to sign up for the class (unless you and I have already done the google docs thing - you folks know who you are). This means you need to give me your e-mail address. If you want to check the reference materials for what we've already covered ASAP, send me a PM here on the forums and I'll try to check it a few times a day. Otherwise you can just give me your e-mail in ustream chat before class.
