I got hosting working, but when i closed my server and re opened, it didnt work.
Can anyone help?

I don't think you have the right to flame him. 1. I beleive he wasn't talking about that specificly.
2. He's a pretty much respected member.
3. He joined 2 years before you.

In the fight of flame, xXmenenXx clearly wins.

Do you mean you can't host a server any more?

Did you turn off your computer between the the two times you tried hosting the server? If so, your router may have given your computer a different IP address. Many routers do this when a device that the router gave an IP has not communicated with the router (turned off) for a certain period of time. This returns the IP address to the usable list of IPs that can be given out to other devices. To fix this problem, try looking through your routers configuration for some way to set "static" Ip addresses. This will allow your router to give the same IP to your computer every time.

I think that your ports did close after hosting. I had a similar problem, whenever I hosted I kept PFPortChecker open and ready to check my ports at any time. Port forward the ports to the IP address given on the PFPortChecker, and every time it closes, change the name of the Application. Eventually, just yesterday, This stopped for me. I don't know why, I don't know how, but I'm just glad it stopped. So yes, Download the PFPortChecker and do what I suggested. I believe for this to be the problem.

Have you restarted your server since?
Try resetting your router and re-forwarding.
Some people have issues resetting, because sometimes you have to do specific things.
If you've got a LinkSys router, there should be a button on the back that's for reset. Hold it down for 10 seconds, and your router should be reset to "linksys" thus making any portforwarding or anything of the sort removed, which should give you a blank slate to start with and having you with no errors as of yet which could in turn screw up working stuff.
