Author Topic: Hi Res textures I made for AOT  (Read 6204 times)

This is a work in progress. And I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to release it.
I guess I have to work a bit on the brightness and stuff like that.

Awesome! But it would cause lots of lag for the noobs playing on Windows 99 , which would make us lag, and then we'd have to hunt the lagging noobs.  It's a big vicious process

<======== Would lagg because he has to play on an E-machine X_x  yeah, one of the beautiful things about AoT is the non-lagginess of it.

Thanks. Hmmm.. I don't think it would lag. And if you have a crappy computer you shouldn't get it.

Unlike Block Land, AoT only has one game.  BadSpot's.  Using the textures would mean everyone would have to use them.  Not that it's even plausible, since Bad Spot won't care.

Not if you just edited the client side.

People can't jujst choose to use it. It's either Hartman edits the game to comply with it, or only you use it and only you see it. Therefore if you want other people to be able to use it, you would have to make it a seperate download for people or get Badspot to edit the game, which we have a better chance of Bush pulling back the troops than Badspot adding something he didn't create.

Yay, someone sees my point ^_^   Nice textures though...except for the rock wall thingy seperating Port Town from the water...That one blows.

I would still want them for only me to see.  I don't care what everyone else sees.

The download is cool if you just want it for yourself, but if he wants everyone to see it, that's not gonna happen.

cool.

i like the stfu :D

The whole idea behind this is to let people decide use my  hi res textures or not. I'm talking about client side.  Also, did anyone notice the black terrain? I don't know why, but there's no texture on the terrain for some reason. It's always been like this.

Hi-Res is good. But you need lighting to match.

Yep, I'm going to work on that.
