Author Topic: Confirming a Room is Port-Forwarded  (Read 623 times)

I know how to do port-forwarding, but my router/modem seems to be terrible at the moment, so I can never tell if it recognizes it properly.

Is there any way to check in-game if you've port-forwarded right on your own, once you host a room?  I've been able to get multiple people to join, but my friend has been unable to enter.

Is it even possible to host a room without port-forwarding or using a dedicated server? I suspect my room might just be like this right now. Since I was unable to save bricks planted out of view, by someone else.

I just need to know if my room counts as port-forwarded or not. Thanks.

if anyone at all is joining then its working. your friend must just be unlucky or something.
or maybe you dont have enough ports open.

i host without forwarding, you just unplug the router and slap that ethernet cord directly from your modem to your computer.
if your on dsl or wireless your forced to port forward.

I go to RTB's server list.

If you can see how many add-ons you have on it, your server works.
