Witch is the best operating system?

Mac (correct answer)
PC (wrong answer)
linux (super wrong answer)

Author Topic: Mac vs. PC  (Read 15753 times)

Mac is based on Unix, which is what Linux is based off of. It's generally a stable system, and can call data quickly. Therefore, it can access smaller amounts of RAM quickly, and use the Hard Drive with low latency.
It also has good low-priced video editing.

Windows Vista has no widely-distributed mainframe, and nobody's really sure how it works or how it processes data. It needs more RAM than XP and 7, which will be released later this year or so, and it calls that data slower than 7. Vista also uses a large amount of space for logs, which takes a good portion of even my 4GB RAM to write.

I'm not saying all of Windows is bad at video editing. Windows 7 might get my attention enough to switch back over completely, because at this time, I have both operating systems, and two laptops.

your entire post is horsestuff. you know nothing about computers, so stop trying to impress us with your stories.

you remind me of them 80s movies when some kid jumps on a keyboard and types away real fast, and in seconds "hacks" into some secure government files.

it all looks good assuming the 3rd party people are to stupid to know how ridiculous that is.
that's what your attempting here. you think we are to stupid to understand so you can spew some crap and try to look smart.
-----

in the end, a task can only be done as fast and well as the hardware allows. the OS don't even matter these days (unless your comparing old macOS to new ones, or old windows to new ones.)

I use a PC because I have a PC and nothing else, and I don't want to buy anything else.

So true

I get the feeling that the people in Mac commercials that decide to go with Mac because it "has less viruses and is more stable" are the same people who believe the sun revolves around the earth(about 15% of Americans)

Whenever I see a movie, I always note that they never show an OS, its just "magic government systems".

about 15% of Americans

i never understand some stats like that. or like how whatever% Americans cant find the capital on our map.

that's alot of people lol. i have met alot of people and cant even imagine that % being that stupid.
they must all be living in the same unfortunate places or something.

its hard to have any cool computer stuff in movies. in a few short years it can look totally handicapped and comical.

i gag whenever i see one of the investigators on CSI give us a bunch of computer lingo and come up with a new lead for the case.
like good job calling your 8 year old kid to google that for you. you richard. hope you earned that promotion back at the department.

Well we all know that these statistics are based off of such an insignificant amount of pollers that the results based on a large scale population would be horribly inaccurate. Yet for some reason, they use them as the basis of everything we do. 100 people apparently mean the same result for 1,000,000 people. The math is obviously flawed.

Who the hell voted for linux?! -_-

people who want good free operating systems and are willing to work a little harder to get a more stable system.

hurr durr.

Regarding this Mac ad in particular
Mac markets in a way that makes the target audience believe that it is easier to use and less suseptible to viruses.  Of course there are more viruses for windows since more people use it.  Mac would have that same ass load of viruses if the virus makers saw it as a way to get their virus out to the majority of people.  Regarding crashing and BSODs, I've never gotten a BSOD in my history using windows and I very rarely crash.  The people experiencing this need to run some loving anti virus or something.

That's how Statistics works.  1st rule of stats imo: it's all bullstuff.

im pretty computer savvy and i still don't understand what it even means for an OS to be "unstable" i hear that word pretty often.

seems like a quick lazy explanation to a whole load of personal computer problems.
lack of knowledge how to use the features mostly.

pshhh don't you know that in the 80s you couldnt get a hacker job unless you were that good.

LOCK IT OR SOCK IT.
...?

My reasoning is sound. I haven't seen one good reason why I'm wrong, and though there aren't many reasons why I would be right, I I've used almost every Windows Operating System starting with a recent version of DOS.
DOS is hardcore. Along with Linux, that wins.
There is a 75% chance that the RAM handling on macs stuff is bullstuff. The Windows energy and memory usage has a 5% chance.

Answers to all of humanity's problems:

1: brainwashing to believe that everyone should agree

2: shut up if you don't agree with someone who has a legitimate history of computer usage and development.

3: Obviously open-source operating systems + penguins = teh best :U
