Author Topic: Renaming weapons on Css  (Read 1065 times)

I know I just posted a topic earlier but I have a question that's been on my mind for a while. Why does Valve rename guns on Css? Cv-47? COME ON!

Are the weapon names trade marked?

That might be it.

Saints Row 2 had done the same thing also.

To avoid legal action. After a while, you learn what the games real names are. eg. Night Hawk = Desert Eagle

I seen those too.....

In Saints Row 2, they added a Ferrari: 360 Spider, and changed it's name. The Ferrari turned out licensed.

Of course a type of car is copyrighted, lol

I hate how they renamed AWM to AWP. Now we've got every uneducated child who's played Counter-Strike saying AWWWP or A-W-P.

I hate that gun in general.

If you weren't busy being a dumbass, you'd know how to change the weapon names in the buy menu.

"DOOD what da fuuuuuck man kik ______ AWPing noob!"
