Author Topic: Help, New grapichs card fail  (Read 1605 times)

I got the Radeon HD 4350 today, In the instructions it told me to uninstall the drivers for my current graphics card, when I did the resolution dropped very very low, Then I powered down My computer and put in the new card (note I never had a card before So all I did was plug it into that bay thing, that's all) I turned on my computer, still looks ugly and in the bottom right in the task bar is says its installing new drivers, but it said Standard VBG (that's not right I dont remember what It said) adapter failed, but the other 2 things passed, I ran the CD and is just crashed on me, now I'm stuck with a bad looking resolution, help?

Run it in safe mode while you do all of that

When you uninstall the drivers for a GPU, what you see on the screen is no longer being processed by it. Drivers are the software that the hardware uses to communicated with the rest of the computer. When you said it was installing new drivers, were you doing it from a disc that game with the GPU, or was it just doing it randomly?

Also, it's not Standard VBG, it's Standard VGA adapter.

If all else fails, look up the model of the GPU on ATI's website.

Looked at it again, it might be that I need a VGA adapter, this is the reason It doesn't work.

It tried doing it randomly, then when it said VGA failure I moved to the disk, which crashed

How ever I dont have a VGA adapter

If your able to plug the moniter into the card you wont need an adaptor

Yea it fits, but I think I just broke it :/ now it not even popping up, its fan is running but nothings happening.

it still works but i still get the error, it says: Standard VGA graphics adapter : Failed, whats this mean?

I replaced my NVIDIA with a better one. The Better one was 3 times bigger.

The Graphic card could also be to powerful for the computer.

I have 3 gigs of ram, it has to be big enough, I'll just return it, I've got 10 bucks, I'll have to save up for a new one, preferably nividia.

Haha, I also got a plug an play for my 360 controller to use it on the computer, doesn't work. Oh well, At least I don't need batteries for t anymore. what a miss situation.

You need to install some drivers before you use it.
