Are you running XP or vista?  Are you running any kind of handicapped security software?

Yeah, this happens to me 7/10 times i load up BL - it XP problem..
It maybe cus you didn't quit BL down properly last time.
Anyway, to get RTB back, just close the game and load up again - everything should be back to normal.

i run XP and don't have a problem, i just exit the console

It sounds like the problem is that the game is looking in the wrong place for any file that it has created (key.dat, saves, etc) but it can still find the files that come with the game.  I don't know of any way that can happen.

You have insufficient privileges to save to the Key.dat. I'd recommend that you contact a System Administrator to make a copy of the Blockland folder in an accessible folder, like your Desktop.

I have XP and my blockland folder is on my desktop. I put it there to make I easier to put add-ons in. I have restartdd it several times and Not RTB nor any add-ons came back. This happened to me in V1 also which is why I originally quit playing.

I also don't have any security turned on, and i'm the only person who uses his comp. Sorry for he double post.

Are you clicking the "B" shortcut on your desktop or going into the folder and runing Blockland.exe?

This happened to me the first time I tried to run Blockland as an administrator with Vista.

Vista does this weird thing where it redirects anything written to the "program files" directory into a folder in the "virtual store".  This folder can then change an make you lose everything.  That's why I asked about vista, I don't know how this could happen in XP.

Sounds odd.
Have you tried turning off UAC.
Sometimes that helps.

When its on, vista will prevent some programs from accessing files without letting you know.

Also, make sure you have the latest build of SP2 installed.

Noedit:

UAC: User account control - How to turn off: http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm
SP2: Service pack 2 - Where to update/how to update: (Bottom right corner, try using the windows update)

I was clicking on the shortcut on the desktop. ...Didn't think that mattered. I'll try the other one later. Please stop posting random stuff about vista people, its not helping my problem.

It is possible that you have installed Blockland to more than one place and the shortcut does not lead to the folder you think it does.
