Author Topic: Alias mech. Many errors.  (Read 2309 times)

I was making a mech using blender and when I used Racer's Mech script and changed it to work with mine, it glitched. First of all, the mech's body spawns far away from the collision and the spawn point. Second, it is all suckily lighted even though I did join with the cube and delete to attempt to fix. Not only that but the animations are forgeted as well. If you can help, please pm me.

you can fix. all ur addons turn out great!

Well that was useful advice --;

First of all, the mech's body spawns far away from the collision and the spawn point.

What do you mean it spawns away from the Collision and Spawn point? What's a Collision Point?

Check out the bounding box line in your mech's playerCharacter script anyways, I figure that's the problem. playerCharacters' collision meshes (LOS and regular Collision) are all part of the script-handled bounding box.

Second, it is all suckily lighted even though I did join with the cube and delete to attempt to fix.

I don't know much about Blender but it sounds like it's a pure model-side problem.

Not only that but the animations are forgeted as well. If you can help, please pm me.

Are you using .dsq files? Are you "Blending" animations? Are you prioritizing animations in case a specific bone is used in more then one sequence or something? I'm not sure what you mean by forgeted.

Ok, fixed the animations and lighting. Time for a check for what else could be wrong.

In the script, Ctrl + F  "boundingBox"

Try playing around with that line. There was another line somewhere that affected spawn height too if I remember.

Finally, are you using Ground Transform?

It was a problem with the model position relative the the center of the XYZ grid. That is fixed. Now I just need to scale the projectile and the area which it spawns from and then I shall host a test server.

Especially that stuffty cannon he made that made players shoot out of their feet.

Which was fixed. Save it for a drama topic.

Ok. Works now. Except the fact the occasionally the screen goes white and crashes the game when you enter the mech.

:I

Do you mean the mech that is your avatar?
