i've always wanted a butterfly knife. well, actually anything other than a steak knife would be cool because I've never even had a pocket knife

i think they are illegal where i live. but idk, my freind went to LA and bought one at some ghetto store.

do butterfly knives clip closed at the bottom?

do butterfly knives clip closed at the bottom?
it depends if they have a lock

Wait, According to This its illegal to own one here in Washington. Does that mean in public and using it illegally like killing some one, or just possessing it no matter what you're using it for?

i would assume in public. many things you cant carry around, concealed or not.
but even guns, you would be surprised what you can buy in a gun show and legally keep sitting around at home.
inc pretty much any knife

Awesome :D
I might just get one :3
But, I thought they were illegal to ship?

makes you wonder which one is most like the spy's

You can own anything you want. Especially weapons, in your home. If the Police or the Government has no reason to search your house you're not going to be fined or arrested for owning something like a butterfly knife, or even something much larger like a shotgun or a carbine. Just don't take it outside, because that's when the law really applies, and police will check you if they see it.
