Author Topic: Event Computer: The BlockBook V1.3 -prototype  (Read 3570 times)

Update: V1.3 complete. Download below.

This isn't my first computer, but this is my first laptop computer / one with a screen. I call it: the BlockBook (I'm sure that's been used before...)

Features:
Only 3 named bricks
Under 50 schedules per click (works on just about all servers)
No unofficial events
6 Programs, including RelayFire (fires relays in four different directions), BlockTunes (plays music), ItemStash (spawns items) and a few others.

-Blockintosh has not officially accepted this computer for a laptop. Therefore, it is currently just a prototype.

Download here (slate save, download includes instructions to make your own):

How much longer will Blockoworld be up?
Im un-banned from the computer tomorrow.

Shhhh..... Im using my bothers laptop I found in the closet.

Also, It looks strange.
If we use it for Blockintosh the design has got to be considered.
Although I know you had to make the bottom like that for the relays to work

I could also make the screen a little taller like you intended; it would still work. I just thought it looked better smaller.

Bump, I'm fixing up the MediCit program so it doesn't completely fail. Expect an update in 1-2 days.

Sounds like Disk First Aid on the Mac.

It's actually a program for changing the player's size or datablock, as well as healing.
The programs have been updated (and the design has been changed...). I'll update the screen a little more.

Updated.

Feature list:
MediCit no longer sucks eggs. Also added a scale changing program.
While in an open application, the top-right pixel shows the program's color (you can also find out by clicking the white area in an application).
Clicking the bottom-right grey pixel while in an open application shows your options again (in case they disappear from key inactivity).
Chassis is a little 'taller,' but still closes into a 2x4 brick. When you close the lid, the back see-saws up for a moment, and then slides into the cover.

If you people find any bugs, tell me and I'll update it some more.

Sorry about that uploading glitch. Ok, download now, should be good.

V1.3 is complete. It's mostly a stability upgrade, but I suggest everyone upgrades anyway.

Fixes:
A few grammatical errors in Help
Manual updated
Less error-prone startup-shutdown
ItemStash: Items are less likely to get stuck

Bout time I finished this...

Dude this is cool and all. But umm the instruction are really I mean really confusing. I am saying the bricks in some of the marcos are different. Like when you said load BlockBook2. Place the 1x2 plate on top of the chrome white brick. There is no 1x2 in there. And how the hell I am I going to play the marco! Also in step three where do the green bricks go! Can you please redo the instructions. Really these are the only things that are screwing me up. I am stuck on 9 -_-.

Duno what to tell you :/

I've been working on bigger and better things as of late, so I think I'm done updating the BlockBook. I'm sorry if the instructions are a tad confusing. They are correct though.

By step 9, your screen should look like this (I didn't make the black bricks and the center 1x2 plate chrome, or the green bricks invisible).
