Author Topic: can you please help me with port forwarding?  (Read 2158 times)

Yeah, when I looked at it the mac seemed to have a special programme for the apple router, which is why its even less likely to be an apple router.
But either the steps I said should work... Or you already have a programme to access this router and are just.....

Dude... We are trying to help you and you just treat us like stuff... Remember... We are the ones that are able to port forward... and you cannot follow countless guides... think about who is the handicap here.
I do not know why you would bhe using an apple router with no mac.... but hey.

You need to:

Open up command (prompt)
Type ipconfig
Hit enter
Write down the IPv4 address and the Default Gateway address
Type in the default gateway into your browser
Find the section about port forwarding/port mapping
Every port from 28000 to 28032 needs to be in the Private and Public port (seperately)
and the Private Address is the IPv4 one from earlier

So you will need to do 33 seperate forwards.

Public Port : 28000
Private Adress : 10.0.1.X
Private Port : 28000

etc.

im sorry for treating you guys like that, but i just dont get it. im not very good with computer programming and what not so i really am confused. if you could answer my questions that would be great! 1. whats a browser (your probably laughing at me but i just dont know). And 2. what do mean i have to do 33 separate forwards?

Browser - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Conqueror etc.

33 ports - You have to enter each one of these

Public Port : 28000
Private Adress : 10.0.1.X
Private Port : 28000

Public Port : 28001
Private Adress : 10.0.1.X
Private Port : 28001

all the way up to 28032

Browser - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Conqueror etc.

33 ports - You have to enter each one of these

Public Port : 28000
Private Adress : 10.0.1.X
Private Port : 28000

Public Port : 28001
Private Adress : 10.0.1.X
Private Port : 28001
all the way up to 28032

then I'm done a d can host Internet servers?

Should be able to, if you do it right.

Iownu... Have you got a Mac in the house atall, or have you got a CD which came with the router.

Well we go a mac router cause my mom got a mac, then i got a samsung computer and i still use the mac router (airpor extreme)! So im using a samsung. atall?

You may have to port forward for your computer from your mom's mac. Let me just see if thats possible...

Hmm, it seems as if the guide at the top MAY work for all computers in the network, all I can say is try.
