Author Topic: Steam hates me?  (Read 1497 times)

I try to open Steam. It does not work. Do you have the same problem?

Why in the hell would you close steam?

Restart your pc.

But first look if not a second, closed, copy of the programm is running (ctrl + alt +del - prozess(sp?))

If it's not starting up, Go to your steam folder, example: C:\Program Files\Steam and Find ClientRegistry.blob, delete it and let steam create a new one, I had steam not working for me and when I did that, it worked.

I had something like this happen (steam would forever check for game updates) and that did not fix it

I renamed my config folder and now all is well

Well, it is working, but I cannot access anything with steam. Like I can Not access my games. I can't even start Gmod with a desktop shortcut.

Could that possibly do anything bad?

no, steam creates a new clientregistry.blob when it starts, it can also fix a slow download

processes

Ok so now I deleted it. What do I do now?

It is started.

It was never stopped.

I could never open the actual window.

It didn't do anything.

I can't restart steam.

Should I end the steam.exe process?

Admit you were wrong and give it roses.
