In aspect, I have nothing against his character, it's noble of him to try to protect his friends (although he goes to the other extreme with their enemies; and is very bad at doing both), however his judgment skills when it comes to character leads me to expect that he grew up in the wrong side of town where douches are a natural part of the ecosystem and thrive in their hellhole, feeding off of scum that accumulates in the nooks and crannies of his society.
