Author Topic: The Economy  (Read 3055 times)

I have noticed a small problem in the US's Econ. For some reason, the Midwest states are doing terrible when the problem started in The Pacific states. The two regions markets are also widely different. The Pacific has housing and electronics while the Midwest runs the auto industry. I am wondering why my region is being hit so hard when the pacific region is where it started with the rise of real estate issues.

Because the auto industry collapsed.

Because the auto industry collapsed.
Simple enough but what caused it to collaps. Obviously they are doing worse with money. Now, California has a very high population but I would not think it big enough to make it impact our industry.

Now, California has a very high population

new news is relevant and funny

No one is buying cars, and without this, the autodealerships are dying,

No one's going to buy cars during an economic crCIA, and the industry's market was fairly unstable to begin with. It was pretty much to be expected that the car industries would go down first.

Now I have to punch my mother for having us move up here. loving great idea.

"Hey, Nick, you will now be able to spend time with your sisters and see the snow"
"yay, fresh start!"

You realize everywhere is bad, right?

not as bad as Midwest, southeast, and pacifc. By the looks of it, I would have a better time getting a job up in North Dakota. or somewhere around there.

It's not like other areas have it easy.

Practically the whole country is screwed as it is with unemployment.
I know at least a few kids in my private school who's supporting parent has lost their job and they'll have to go to a public school because they cant afford it anymore.

I heard that whores are cheaper because of the economy! :D

Yay map based statistics.

I live in the North East, I live in a town with a mall, many small shoppes, restaurants and car dealerships. People buy used cars, no stores are hiring, all corporate stores have a freeze on hiring and no houses are being bought or sold.

The Midwest is doing the best with unemployment.

Hopefully by the time I get in the job market, there is a good employment rate in Drafting and design for mechanical stuff. I know architecture is screwed by this but the field I am going into might be good by then.

Fly, read the chart again. Indiana right now has 10.7% unemployment. Meaning 10% of people are unemployed. The rest of the area around me is also screwed.

Actually here in Ontario some people I know are being hurt by the economy.
