A few movies I love that not many people here see are: The whole nine yards, hudson hawk, Volunteers, UHF, Top secret, Real Genius, and Enemy Mine to name a few.

Taken was very good.

Also, if you haven't seen it already, The Shawshank Redemption.
Best movie ever, IMO

Tropic Thunder is a good movie to see with other people; I don't think I would have enjoyed it the same alone.

Edit: Role Models is one of my favorite comedies. You should see it.

Viking Edit: Step Brothers sucks majorly.

Oh yeah, Role models was pretty funny.

Step Brothers was full of toilet humor and snake/procrastination/love jokes.
