Cant survive without blockland huh?
Something to do when the zombies corner me up a tree

   Transistor radio and headphones
   batteries
crowbar (relatively light weight, can be used as a bludgeon, and can be utilized to pry open doors or clear out debris
a hammer (Not too useful for combat since it has a short reach, but can be used to fortify doorways and windows)
a box of nails (a small in order to cut down on weight, other nails can be taken from structures or raided from tool sheds and maintenance rooms.)
   Food
   Hunting rifle and ammo
   Pistol and ammo
Three knives (all at least with 5 inch long blades, one non-serrated for killing zombies, another non-serrated for handling food and a backup for if the zombie-killing one breaks, a serrated knife for utility purposes and a last resort)
   A backpack
A sleeping bag (I have a really small compact one)
   Hiking boots
Two extra pairs of socks (changing clothes will not really be necessary in the savage wastes of a zombie apocalypse because everyone will be disheveled but clean socks will help ward off diseases like athletes and trench foot).
   A flashlight
   Maps of the surrounding area
   A compass
   A poncho
   Pocket knife
   A first-aid kit
   Sunglasses
   A bandana
   A hat
   A pair of Binoculars
   A lighter
   Two quart-sized water bottles
Water purification tablets (Maybe a purification pump if I can find one)

I will also scavenge some more supplies and restock from prime locations such as gas stations and gun stores if they haven't already been looted (and if they have there's always something useful that has been overlooked)

Has anyone here read Max Brook's Zombie Survival Guide?

<3 Good. Some people would actually be ready for an invasion.

I have a feeling NickTheSushi has also read it, since his criticism of other people's lists seem to correspond to Brooks' objections to such items.

We should join up as a group for the apocalypse if both of us make it long enough to reach the rendez-vous point,
and I suggest it's as far from California as possible.

I live in California. Why far away from it?

Look in the back of the book to the list of supposed recent outbreaks, half of the outbreaks since 1992 have occurred in California.

Edit: Plus if you're living in San Francisco... good luck.

The ultimate tools for a zombie apocalypse.
For all the ones that said "No", read the Zombie Survival Guide.

-snip-
Hey, getting a personal tank is as likely as having zombies to smush. And I heard that Dinner Blasters are very effective against zombies, y'know

That's true :I
As for the Dinner Blaster, wat.

Shotgun Although Max Brooks disagrees, it's a fine weapon for dealing with swarms, it has the force to knock down a zombie and the spread might help increase chances to score a head-shot at short range
Medical kit
Baseball bat Take a wooden one, aluminum might be lighter but it will bend after repetitive usage
Large knife get one that's not serrated, serrated knives have the tendency to get stuck in bones
Dinner Blaster haha, worth a shot, in realistic terms, not so much.
Food and water
Fast-moving tank Not going to be moving too fast when you run out of gas after an hour of rocking and rolling, and if you plan on holding out with the turret when the zombies swarm you, you will only last as long as your shells do, if not less depending on how many and how ravenous they are.

Barricade all exits

Another thing, never do this. Doing this only means that when the time comes to make like a tree and get the forget out of wherever you are, You and Astrobear will be stuck between a horde of zombies you couldn't possibly kill and a door you nailed shut.
