Author Topic: Learning a programming language?  (Read 2724 times)

I'd go with Python or Ruby.

I'd go with Python or Ruby.
Don't forget Java! I personally think that it would be good to start with a web integratabtle language.

I'm learning C# (First language)
If I finish it then I want to learn TorqueScript.

I started with PHP and went on from there, never bothered learning the crap ones.

Any resources you would recommend if I were to take up PHP?

Working on C and Java.

You're dumb if you think that nothing uses C anymore.

A working website that allows use of PHP and MySQL.
Or a private web server on your own computer.

not exactly what i meant.
I need recommendations as to what books/videos/etc. would be worthwhile to read.

I figure that I am going to learn C++, as I "currently" do not have much of a need for web based programming.

Anything having to do with HTML/XHTML. CSS, JavaScript, little PHP. I know it's not a programming language, but it's still a language.

Learning C# now. Torque is next.

C++. I have TGEA and I could use it there.
