Author Topic: Game Wont Start  (Read 255 times)

I have recently gotten a computer fixed and when I try to run blockland the prompt screen comes up, loads and, a second blockland screen comes up but the game will not go any further than that. I use a NAVIDA GeForce 6600 Video card and don’t know what to do. Any help would be nice.
Below is my console if that helps...

Sounds to me like you have the same problem I do. Which nobody here can help you with. Or anywhere. If you use Vista, then I know you have the same problem as me. The most basic way to say is this:

Apparently, Vista's support for OpenGL sucks, and when you have a Geforce Card in your system, support for some games is little, to NONE. And Blockland is one of them. You can get the game to RUN if you put Windows into the most basic mode for displaying the desktop (very ugly looking), but even though the game will run, it will every now and then randomly close, thus causing playing for long periods of time a rather unpleasant experience.

The good news is.. Newer games or more popular games won't have this problem, just backwater ones or old ones (I mean no offense to Blockland).

I know this sounds crazy, but if you want to get proof, just do your research like I did, and you will eventually come up with the same answer, in which there is no solution, and never will be. It's all because of using the Geforce card as far as I can tell. Doesn't matter what actual card it is, just as long as its a Geforce.
