Transparent in Blender?

How would I make something transparent in Blender? Like a window for my plane. There is something called Translucent but I do not know if that will work.

Translucent = transparent, try it out and see what happens. Generally you need something to be translucent AND additive to sort correctly in blockland, notably to sort over bricks and not look terrible.
