Kinex have you tried how it would look; if you changed grass texture in to same as in slate fields 2&3 ?

If this maps only purpous is to build on islands then I believe the map is perfectly fine the way it is. Although that fog in your screen shot is awkward, if that's just because of your options then I understand.
I'd like to see more build maps, although make them a little interesting landscape wise.

If you know the history of Block City, you would know that we had used Slate edits for some time. I decided to create this map to give a different feel to Block City because this gives more of a terrain feel; rather than just a flat surface that leads on endlessly.

Giving it a "terrain feel" could have been done much differently. I could easily whip up a map for you that is so much better then this, in many different ways.
