Author Topic: The SHS Valkyrie, One Helluva Destroyer/A.C.C. (W.I.P) (Read 2290 times)

I don't know what it is with me and really big boats recently, but here's my second ship in as many weeks. Taking a step away from the whole "yacht" theme, I'd like you to say hello to the S.H.S. Valkyrie, my first ever Destroyer and AirCraft Carrier combo. As of right now the inside remains unfinished, but I thought you'd like to see the outside, so here you go!

The Overview
The futuristic-yet-modern-looking hull of the Valkyrie absorbes both R.A.D.A.R. and S.O.N.A.R. waves just like modern stealth ships, giving the Valkyrie the element of suprise tha can change the tides of battle.

The Runway
I printed the name of the ship on the runway, just like modern A.C.C.'s (You also get a nice view of the guns)

The Spotting Deck
The Spotting Deck is the eyes of the ship. From this possition, the S.D. opperator can send information directly to the bridge, located below deck in order to avoid direct hits from ordinance.

The Spotting Deck (Interior)
Interior of the Spotting Deck, also features an emergency manual piloting system in case connection with the bridge is severed.

The Guns
Care for a bit of broadsiding? No, I thought not.

Feel free to rate x/10, keep in mind that it supposed to be semi-modern and semi-futuristic. Interior will be posted upon completion.

I like the spotting deck, but I'm not a big fan of the hull. I also like what you did with the guns.

Please, ignore Shortcut's "Honestly, I don't like it." comment, as he is simply bitter because I perma banned him from my server from being a complete pain in the ass.

Anyways, I'm going to get to work on the interior right now, pictures will be up soon.

It really isn't my kind of build. It lacks much detail and the guns have a terrible model. What is that gun anyway? I would say "More color" But it's supposed to be this gray. Hull needs work, it looks like it just stops flat, the red is also pretty misplaced. Tower and it's interior are pretty good though.

I'm not too fond of the way the hull looks, I like the way the "normal" Destroyers look. But it looks cool nonetheless. 8/10

I like the spotting deck. Never knew that Sonar and Radar were acronyms.
