I was searching for "Awesome Lego Houses" on YouTube, as I was building a Lego house at the time, and came across this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzaLRjayeY4. I thought it was pretty cool, so I Googled Blockland and found the game. I downloaded the demo, and bought it about a month later.

Discovered it last summer, V8, probably by searching building games on Google. Glad I never saw Roblox on Google.

Got my key during V8 on my 13th birthday, 7/31/08. V9 came out 9 days later. What a rude awakening.
