Author Topic: Gurren - TTGL/Chaos + Metal Sonic (iScribble)  (Read 2026 times)

Drew this in iScribble, then threw in a quick edit using paint.net.  The drawing itself is alright, but I could've done better.  It's rather small, though.

No, he's all water.  I can't find any ingame screenshots, but it is the same color.

I like how it gets all blurry so it looks like he's roaring.

I thought the same thing.

This is loving awesome.

+1 Internet

Chaos 7 is my favorite. Epic picture

Ow it hurts my eyes...

Edit: Threw in the Gurren I just drew.  iScribble is fun :P

To be honest, I don't really dig the Chaos image very much. I'm sorry but it's just too strange. It's a very good attempt, yes, but the blur just doesn't work for me, and also his lower jaw appears longer than the top. I do like the fact that you only used reference to know what it looked like, and not to copy anything. I don't think you even had to post the source picture because I see nothing that was copied, and that is the only time you actually should be required to post a source picture.

However, the second picture (which is some creature I know nothing about), looks pretty nice and I have no issues with it. I think if you simply removed the blur effect on the Chaos picture, I would enjoy it a lot more. Or, make another layer and blue only the new layer, while keeping a crisp layer on top of it. This will create a much better effect IMO.

I wasn't posting the reference image to state that I hadn't copied something, I was posting it so that people knew what I was going off of.  That directed from from the fact that his bottom jaw is a tad longer than his upper.  Therefore, pushing upon the endorsement to which I had wanted people to see an accurate, although strange, representation.

The blur effect was to impliment his roar, which was displayed in the very cutscene that the reference had taken place in.  I see nothing wrong with it, although I find that the color tint I had added looks rather odd.  Once I have a better art program installed, I'll take the time to fiddle with the image.

I like your honest opinion, and I would agree with it, if Chaos had a different jaw.

thats not a Gurren. This is a Gurren D:

This is THE Gurren, though.  From a shot that isn't Code Geass.

Also, updated the main post with the Metal Sonic I drew today, yet again in iScribble.
