Author Topic: How to install vehicles in Garrys mod (G-mod)? (Read 9056 times)

he i jsut got g mod and i know how to instal weapons but how do you install vehicles. Like i dont know if it goes in add-ons or the Garrysmod/garrysmod/ section or what? and what folders from the vehicles file do you put in that certain file?

It goes in addons.

You usually put any Add-On files in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[your username]\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons"

When I go there it always has 2 folders, derma and day of defeat, whitch do i put it in? or erase? I tried puting an add on in the addon folder itself but that doesnt work

You don't save it into the two folders, just save it to C:/Program Files/ Steam/Steamapps/(yourname)/garrys mod/garrysmod/add ons. And that is it.

Yes

Read the READ-MEs. It solves so many problems with add-ons and programs.

The readme is probably in the Garrysmod folder in the program files.

They are included with the add-on or on the forum topic that you downloaded it from. I would not download any random mod from garrysmod.org without first seeing it's Topic.

If it's a folder named after the mod and has a info.txt inside, it goes in Addons, if it's just folders like lua, sound, settings, etc. and no info.txt, it goes in garrysmod\garrysmod

That's how i do it at least and it works for me

Yep, they all get their add-on's readmes in the game. Don't confuse people, stop trying to get what they're saying. THe readme is usually found within the zip file of the add-on.
