Author Topic: Graphics in Blockland  (Read 6213 times)

It'd be like porting from HL1 to HL2, alot of recoding. HL1 to project Black Mesa would be more of an equivalent.

And on the other argument Marcem, its not like he'd get rid of this blockland, he would just be working on it as a side project. He also knows the system and would just have to change sintax and recode things hes already coded. It would just be more tedious then challenging, which might be a bad thing. Also, he would just keep the old models.

Thinking of Blockland 2 just made me excited for some reason.

Blockland 2?
It's a longshot. Even though all these ideas are great,
i'm pretty sure I wanna keep my Blockland.

however, what if people's video cards just  couldnt take T3D?

example: i played blockland on my old laptop and it ran fine, but when i put my tgea game on there, it was lagging and locking up on me

Ok, on Nvidia I can turn the AA up to Q x16 and have Supersampling.

Also, I turned the anistrophic filter up to 16.

I've used Box 4xAA pretty often before. Makes game look pretty nice.

for AA i use x16 in full screen and x64 in 1440x900 window

AF always on x16

A Blockland 2 would probably divide the community.

I wouldn't mind paying again for a high quality Blockland 2 that costs around $50.

Porting to a new engine would take work but it would probably not involve recoding everything.  Torque3D has these awesome cloths, you gotta forgetin see them.

Heres my bad photoshopping Plus these Ideas:

Edit: Holy crap in the process of compressing/uploading it looks worse...

  • Realistic shadows
  • Small, miniscule amount of bloom.
  • Anti-alias feature in-game.
  • Full-blown water physics.

All to come in Blockland 2. Release date: Never.

It's a brick building game, why do you want better graphics?

All better graphics will achive other then making it look slightly better is make it harder to avoid lag.

Zenthos, you are aware that a lot people are not like you or me and don't have two GTX280s in SLi, right?
