when i start a game when i go to place a brick a message pops up that says 'place a 64x64 baseplate before building'.   whats up with this because its really anoying. even if you can only tell me what it is!!

build rules. look in your settings to turn it off.
its awesome for slate, but im sure other maps it can be annoying.

when its on, you can only put 64 baseplates on the ground and nothing else (you build on top of em)
and any new plate following the first one must be lined up next to the previous one.

That's because it isn't in 'Settings', but in 'Add-ons'. When you start Blockland, click 'Start Game', and then click 'Add-ons'. Under 'Scripts', uncheck the building rules script.

If he doesn't have RTB it won't be under any category and will just be sorted by file name :o
