Here is a question I never knew the answer to. Why can't people post CityRP? I first thought it was because someone stole it and released it before it was finished, but I'm not sure.

i think the reason was either it was so godawful, or the fact that whenever it's released it spreads like wildfire

suddenly online blockland play is 90% made by jookia, and nobody wants to deal with that

Well, it's got the potentiial to be really good. It's just that most everyone who does know how to host, and hosts a CityRp server, they fail at it. Usually due to being incapable of actually setting it up well. With good buildings/events and what not. They also tend to let people do whatever they want, which leads the Rp's to fail. Plus, there's the use of the Criminal and Policeman jobs. Most Badmins who choose Policeman, will simply jail whoever they want, for no reason. And for a long time. Therefore Badmins who are often found on CityRp servers just ruin it.

Simply put, it takes a reasonably good amount of skill to set up a CityRp server, and have it work really well.
And, whenever it's put up, it's simply everywhere. Loads of people who really aren't 'qualified' for hosting CityRp end up hosting servers with it. Clogging up the Server List with '?????'s CityRp's all over the place. It's just an annoyance, and a disapointment when most people join.

Also, when I eventually set up my XP to be my dedicated server. I will prolly run People_Mods eventually, and I'll be sure to run it well. ;P

There has to be a reason that RTB and Retail Fail each topic. I am thinking about editing the current version of CityRP and making it better than what it is, and I don't mean better as in more jobs and done. I mean doing something similar to Iban's and Diggy's CityRP.

The fun part of CityRP is you can make it a TDM, Cops v Robbers, RPG, or anything you wish. I go to those servers just to kill people and take their money.

If I try making this, and ask for any help, no one will help me because of the whole issue. I plan on making a CityRP that does the following:

• No Self Deletes with wanted level
• Drop money on death
• Fire burns buildings down
• Cops have to bring the criminals health down before jailing
• education
• City has resources, each item bought reduces resources
• People are invincible for 5sec after spawn
• Random Floods
• If criminal is caught within 1 "hour" of stealing, victim gets money back
• Military units is a police type job, except can only catch 5-star criminals
• Military units unlocks tank when criminal reaches 5-stars

1 "hour" will be about 5-10min

It's a handicapped excuse to make a mod that just simplifies imagination.

You can have a City Rpg without using some stupid mod to do the work for you.

No, I make an evented thing in CityRP's to show weapon prices so I don't have to type "^help items" every 5 seconds.
