Seriously. Do you know how many of these I get? Especaily from the GTF-11 Drio (Forgot how2spellname) guy. Seriously. It just makes your clan look that much more desperate and handicapped. Not to mention it is spam. God damn you little children; you have to be patient. If if you want people to join your clan anyways. Make sure to include the NAME OF IT! In the message.

Not as bad as some of those MMOs. You ALWAYS get random clan/guild invites. Still, who wants to join a clan that cannot find members by appeal.

I sometimes advertise my server on the IRC when there's only a few people on and it's been a while, but people actually enjoy it. Which I think makes it fine.

Mine usually go like "If anyone's up for some DMing, I'm running a CTF server, with 9 classes. Stop by if you like." Generally resulting in 3 people joining within a minute and some 4 IRCs asking for server info, and 1 IRC asking for admin.

Same thing with the "Join my server" messages which are even more common. Unless they're seeing if their ports work, which I can understand.
