Welp now Im stuck using a monitor half the size of my old one. The res on this thing is 1280x1024

I looked at the bottom of my Dell Ultrasharp monitor and saw an input thing labeled 'Speaker Power'
I figured that my monitor had built in speakers and I didnt know, so I took the power cord from another pair of speakers and plugged it up into the slot. Then my monitor shut off and it wont turn on anymore. Ive removed the cord and it still wont turn on. Did I kill it or is there some way I could fix this? :(

No matter what plug I use and where I plug it into, there is no power going into the monitor
