I was upstate on a lake (no internet upstate, adirondack mountain area) and it started thundering, then the power goes out. BZZZT. Then, 5 seconds later, i gear:

CCRRRAAAACCKKBBBOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!

So, I'm sittimg in the dark for 3 hours, and then the power came back on :D

I find the Calm before the Storm, to be the best part. It seems so spooky. No wind, or noise, it's just, perfect. And then about 10 mins later you've got Rain and Hail and thunderbolts falling on your house.

I just love storms. I sometimes go out in the middle of them and just splash around in puddles like it's some little spring shower, seriously. It's fun :D
